A prayer to forgive anyone who has hurt you.
Lord, I pray for _______.
According to Your commands to:
Not take vengeance or bear a grudge against our neighbor, but love them as we do ourselves [Leviticus 19:18]
Not rejoice when our enemy falls, and not let our hearts be glad when they stumble [Proverbs 24:17]
Love our enemies, and do good to those who hate us, bless those who curse us and pray for those who abuse us [Luke 6:27-28]
Bless those who persecute us and not curse them [Romans 12:14]
Feed our enemies if they are hungry and give them drink if they are thirsty [Romans 12:20]
Not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, to bless [1 Peter 3:9]
First, I forgive them for any way in which they hurt me including ____, ____ etc. I also pray that You would help them forgive me for any way I hurt them including ____, ____ etc. so that the hindrance of unforgiveness would not be held against them. Finally, I pray You may forgive them and their whole bloodline, for any way they have sinned against You in thought, word or deed, in their spirits, souls or bodies, knowingly or unknowingly. Please forgive them. And forgive me and my bloodline for the same.
Help them to forgive every person and every hurt that they need to forgive at whatever point it happened in their lives since birth, so that the spirit of unforgiveness and offense would have no legal right in their lives and steal nothing from them ever again. Help me to forgive everyone for everything I need to forgive as well.
If they don’t know You, then they are missing the best and most secure thing life has to offer so do not allow them to perish. Save them with the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and help them to live according to Your Will in every single way that they will need to, to live with You for eternity in Your determined time.
Bless them.
Supply every need of theirs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus [Philippians 4:19]
Let every good gift and every perfect gift from above be theirs [James 1:17]
I pray that all may go well with them and that they may be in good health, and that it goes well with their souls [3 John 1:2]
May they faithfully learn to hear and obey Your Voice, being careful to do all Your commandments so that every Deuteronomy 28 blessing will be theirs [Deuteronomy 28:1]
May they love You so that they would receive all You’ve prepared for those who love You [1 Corinthians 2:9]
May they wait on You to renew their strength; so they may mount up with wings like eagles; run and not be weary; walk and not faint [Isaiah 40:31]
Teach them to do your Will, and be their God; let your good Spirit lead them on level ground [Psalm 143:10]
Instruct them and teach them in the way they should go; Counsel them with Your loving eye upon them [Psalm 32:8]
Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path [Psalm 119:105]
May you give them the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of You [Ephesians 1:17]
May they be generous givers to the poor and those in need so that they will never lack [Proverbs 28:27]
May they give wherever You determine they should, so that it may come back to them pressed down, shaken together and running over [Luke 6:38]
May they receive whatever healing they need in their bodies and minds because by Your wounds they have been healed [Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24]
May You forgive all their iniquity, heal all their disease, redeem their lives from the pit, and crown them with steadfast love and mercy [Psalm 103:3-4]
May You, the God of endurance and encouragement grant them to live in full harmony with their loved ones [Romans 15:5]
If struggling to forgive an ex:
I thank You for the relationship/marriage You’ve blessed them with and if it was Your blessing and Your Will and they haven’t thanked You, do not hold it against them because I am thanking You on their behalf.
If it wasn’t or isn’t Your Will, then please lead them to Your perfect Will for them and multiply their joy and happiness with Your ordained spouse and children for them. Bless and multiply their homes, their health, ministries, careers, finances, and let every gift You’ve given them bring them to stand before Kings. Let their children be Godly, healthy, blessed and successful.
