Career Direction

Lord, I enter Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise. I am thankful to You for every good and perfect thing You have given me and my family, and I bless Your Name.

I confess all my known and unknown sin (confess known sin). I acknowledge all my transgressions and ask You to apply the price Christ already paid for my sin, to forgive me in every way I have sinned against You, and by choice, I forgive anyone who has wronged me. Thank You that as far as the east is from the west, so far have You removed my transgressions from me, and I am worthy to be in Your presence as the righteousness of Christ.

I stand on Your declaration that Your word that proceeds from Your mouth will not return to You empty, but it will accomplish what You please, and it will prosper where You send it.

In this moment, I am lacking wisdom and You have instructed that if any of us lacks wisdom, we can ask You, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to us. So, I stand on that word to ask for Your wisdom in determining the next step in my career, and in any other part of my life in which You know I need Your wisdom.

I stand on Your word that directs me to trust in the You with all your heart, and not lean on my own understanding. I trust You and am acknowledging You in all my ways, particularly in my career. You have promised that if I trust my way to You, You will make straight my paths. So, I am trusting my way to You, refusing to lean on my own understanding, and expecting Your path to be made clear to me.

I know that unless You build the house, I labor in vain. Send me where I will not labor in vain, send me where You will build with and for me. Send me where my toil will lead to profit. Your Word has promised to instruct me and teach me in the way I should go, and to counsel me with Your eye upon me. In the next step in my career, to instruct me and teach me in the way I should go, and to counsel me with Your eye upon me.

For You know the plans You have for me, that are to give me a future and a hope. Send me where that future and that hope is aligned to Your Will for my life. I commit my work to You, and believe that my plans as guided by You will be established. I believe that Your purpose for my life will be made clear and that it will stand. Send me where the gift You know You have given me will make room for me and bring me before greatness.

And wherever You send me, let Your favor be upon me, and establish the work of my hands. I am calling to You and You will answer me, and will tell me great and hidden things that I have not known. Show me how to live a life that delights You so You may establish all my steps.
