NB-1: These prayers are intended as a start - may the Holy Spirit take over your warfare prayers.

NB-2: Never pray against people but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood (Eph 6:12).

Adapted Prayer (see scriptures used below)

  • Keep us safe, our God, for in You we take refuge. Lord, You alone are our portion and our cup, You make our lot secure, because You will not abandon us to the realm of the dead, nor will You let us see decay. May the Lord answer us in the day of trouble. May the Name of the God of Jacob defend us. May You send us help from the sanctuary, and strengthen us out of Zion. You answer us from Your holy heaven, with the saving strength of Your right hand.

  • Show us the wonders of Your great love, You who save by Your right hand, those who take refuge in You from their foes. Keep us as the apple of Your eye, hide us in the shadow of Your wings from all principalities, all powers, all the rulers of the darkness of this world, all spiritual wickedness in high places out to destroy us, hide us from our enemies who surround us.

  • Arise, oh Lord, confront every principality, every power, every ruler of the darkness of this world, every spiritual wickedness in any high place, cast them down. Deliver our lives from them with Your sword! Your hand will find all our spiritual enemies, Your right hand will find every evil spirit that hates us. Make them as a fiery oven in the time of Your anger, swallow them up in Your wrath, and let Your fire devour them.

  • But You, oh Lord, do not be far from us, oh our Strength, hasten to help us! Deliver us from the sword, our precious lives from the power of the dog. Save us from the lion’s mouth and from the horns of the wild oxen! To You, oh Lord, we lift up our souls. Oh our God, we trust in You, let us not be ashamed, let not our enemies triumph over us. Keep our souls, and deliver us.

  • When any principality, any power, any ruler of the darkness of this world, when any spiritual wickedness in any high place comes against us, to eat up our flesh, let them stumble and fall. Though demonic armies may encamp against us, our hearts shall not fear, though war may rise against us, in You we will be confident. Teach us Your way, oh Lord, and lead us in a smooth path, because of our enemies. Do not deliver us to the will of the devil.

  • You Lord are our strength and our shield, our hearts trust in You, and we are helped by Your Voice. Let Your Voice speak for us. Your Voice is over the waters, Your Voice thunders over many waters. Your Voice is powerful, Your Voice is full of majesty, Your Voice breaks the cedars and splinters the cedars of Lebanon. Your Voice divides the flames of fire. Your Voice shakes the wilderness, Your Voice strips the forests bare, and in Your temple everyone says, “Glory!”

  • You sit enthroned as King forever, and You will give strength to Your people.
