Your Will Be Done

We give thanks in all circumstances, for this is Your Will in Christ Jesus for us.

Teach us to do Your Will, for You are our God, may Your good Spirit lead us on level ground. We know that whoever does the Will of God, is the brother and sister and mother of Christ.

We seek Your Will in all we do, and believe You will show us which path to take. Many are the plans in our minds, but it is Your purpose oh Lord that will stand. We know that You can do all things and that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.

Help us not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewal of our minds, that by testing we may discern what is the Will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Help us not to be foolish, but to understand what Your Will is. May we take joy in doing Your Will, my God, for Your instructions are written on our hearts. May we live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for Your Will.

We have need of endurance, so that when we have done Your Will we may receive what is promised. For Your Will is that by doing good we should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people -- help us to do the good You need us to do. And if we have to suffer for doing good, if that should be Your Will, then give us the grace to go through it because it is better than suffering for doing evil.

Father, as You desire all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, help us to go into all the earth and preach the gospel to all creation that You've ordained will receive the gospel through us.

As the world passes away along with its desires, we know that when we do Your Will, we will abide forever.
